The Greenhouses in Godawari and Phulchowki is an ideal spot for bird watching, investigating the excellent view and timberland walk. Phulchowki is the most noteworthy slope around Kathmandu valley which gives fantastic perspectives on Kathmandu valley, regular natural life and radiant perspectives on Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Gaurishankar range in the east can be seen from here on a crisp morning separated from the Amazing perspective on Kathmandu valley.
Phulchowki (2782m), the most noteworthy slope arranged in the south of Kathmandu valley, is perhaps the most wonderful climbing as far as vegetation. In the wake of driving 14 kms south of Kathmandu for around 30 minutes to Godavari Professional flowerbed the beginning stage. Pulchowki Climb begins from Godawari and comprises of around 4-5 hours of simple climbing slow tough completely through sub – Tropical thick timberland. Essential Info
- The trail is steep, forested, and often damp. Wear hiking boots with good ankle support and grip to stay safe throughout the climb.
- Phulchowki is a prime birdwatching destination with over 300 bird species including the Nepal Cutia and Himalayan woodpecker. A good zoom camera or binoculars will enhance your experience.
- Some paths are overgrown or not well-marked. Staying close to your Shalom Treks guide ensures you follow the safest and most scenic route.
- Due to the hike’s duration and altitude gain, always carry first aid items like antiseptics, painkillers, band-aids, and any required medications.
- There are no tea shops once you leave the garden area. Bring 2 liters of water and energy bars, fruits or light lunch for a full-day hike.
- The weather on Phulchowki can change rapidly. Carry a raincoat or poncho, warm inner layers, gloves and a cap, especially in winter and monsoon seasons.
- The Godawari Botanical Garden is a protected research zone. Do not pluck plants or litter. Pay the entry fee and follow designated paths before starting your hike.
- The hike can take 6–7 hours round-trip. Starting early ensures you return before dark and enjoy the best views of Annapurna, Langtang and Gauri Shankar ranges from the summit.
